Wanted to share it with you guys. Since ascii sector is on hold, and the source code isn't available, I've started working on my own game.

This game isn't intended as a replacement for ascii sector. It's not based on wing commander and I'm trying to make conscious decisions NOT to copy ascii sector as I don't want to step on Christian's amazing work. Obviously, being an ascii style space game where you can dock places, there will be some similarities.

I generally post in the roguelikedev subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/roguelikedev/

No where close to a finished game yet as it takes time to implement game systems.

What do you call it? I don't know how to search for it on Reddit.

I'm a bit late to the party, but looks very cool. Three questions come to mind:
- What's it called?
- Source available? (/What language?)
- What will be its niche, i.e. what will it do that asciisector doesn't?
