Development Video #33
« on: January 18, 2016, 04:13:41 PM »

It’s a new year, and here’s a new development video! In this video, I show the improvements made to the gadget interface, and I also do a bit of scripting.

Funny how so many details can clash. It's stuff like this that reminds me that a lot of creation is actually creating and seeing how the mechanisms collide, whether or not one has multiple anti-virus programs running! :)

Also, glad to hear ASCII will be getting a bit of a bump. Always nice to see.

Haha. I only have one antivirus program running! But what it does is that it blocks the executable from running, and when I check the Task Manager, there are suddenly 3 instances of the executable even though the game never starts.

I have no idea what Avast thinks it's doing. >:(

I wonder if the system tries to start the exe again? That doesn't sound right, though. If you're not clicking on it multiple times, that's plain weird.

I found some threads on Avast's forum with people having the same issue. Updating Avast seems to have fixed it (Avast itself hadn't alerted me that an update was available).
