I don't know how close you keep your ear to the ground, CK, but as topic suggests, 3.0 is out:

Nice! There doesn't seem to be all that much that will affect my code, but I'll definitely upgrade at some point. Thanks for letting me know!

Its fun to see freepascal supports 16 bit MS-DOS, OS/2, and AROS (an Amiga operating system).

Yeah, it supports quite a bit. Usually when I tell people that I'm making my games in Pascal, they laugh a bit. But Free Pascal is a really powerful language that supports quite a few platforms. It's come a long way since Turbo Pascal! :D
