Everything Else / GOG Galaxy
« on: June 06, 2014, 12:26:39 PM »
GOG Galaxy was announced!  8)

Steam, Origin, Uplay and others are just renting games what is wrong IMHO. GOG sells DRM-Free games and now they announced new OPTIONAL client for games. thinks about "early access like" service. I hope Laserbrain Studios' games will be available there... :heh:

No DRM-Free, no fun... :pinch:

« on: March 12, 2014, 09:47:05 PM »
Well... so... we have another anniversary of last update. :|

It's 2 years already. Tomorrow will be 1st for Hostile Takeover... I hope everything will be OK! :heh:

Damn! It's 19 months since I've played Ascii Sector. Without updates there is no more fun, no speculation, no new ideas... :pinch:

Merry Christmas to everyone!

Everything Else / Elite: Dangerous
« on: November 06, 2012, 09:09:45 PM »
AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! It's alive! :D

At last! New, modern and better Elite Frontier! With that wast galaxy only single-player is possible... Oh, wait! What's this?

I want a game that feels more like the original “Elite” to fly, and with more rapid travel (to allow for the multi-player nature of the game) – so you travel quickly using local ‘hyperspace’ travel rather than by fast-forwarding time – but with the rich galaxy of Frontier – and more, so much more.

Multi-player NATURE of the game? Is this some kind of curse or I'm just allergic to word multi-player? I hope it's just some misunderstanding caused by my low knowledge of English language. It will be single-player, right? RIGHT...?! :?

Bugs / Game crashed while running through crowd
« on: August 01, 2012, 09:24:27 PM »
I had two assassin mission on Pirate Base (Munroe in TC-101) so I went there and started with stunning 4 bodyguards, eliminating 2 targets... and stunning every other pirate on a base (For the prize!). When I looted everything from captives I released them all and I was running to my ship... when critical error occurs and game crashes:

I was running holding "Tab" and "s" keys. Sometimes I was pressing two arrow key in the same time. Released captive were running (fleeing) from me when I "hit a crowd" and then game crashes... or maybe when I tried to enter my ship (while still running)? I was so surprised that I don't remember... :pinch:

Bugs / Mission's clock is late
« on: July 03, 2012, 11:16:40 PM »
I've encountered little bug with mission "warning clock". Description states info about 2 hours left when there was 40 minutes only:

Yes, I know! 40 minutes is less than 2 hours but it's not an (correct) answer... :eeeee:

It's not something big but still could mislead players.

Bugs / Passenger missing in action
« on: July 02, 2012, 10:39:09 PM »
I scooped ejected pilot for Rescue Mission but like any other "hitchhikers" pilot was wandering on almost whole ship. During boarding of Dralthi I was too fast and I "moved" such pilot to the docking tube. When I started (undocked) ship I decided to make sure she is on board. She wasn't!

I had second scooped pilot for another Rescue Mission so I made a test (see movie: [RS]) and it looks that I lost another pilot. After landing on his destination planet mission wasn't completed. Failure!

I forgot to show on this movie that after re-docking to Dralthi "missing pilot" wasn't there.

IMHO passengers from fixers' missions should stay in cabins and scooped friendly pilots should e.g. "sit on chairs" (big ships have several "chairs") and not walking on board of a ship. Even during combat mode they can switch positions with our opponents (sic!).

Oh! Wandering hitchhikers are able to move captives and then I'm forced to switch position with captive placing him/her in docking tube. Such captives will be lost too...

Bugs / Downgrade to Quine 4000
« on: June 16, 2012, 05:21:19 PM »
OMG! My Quine 5000 was downgraded...! :eeeee:

It's text only. Small thing but it's another bug on a road to perfection... :heh:

Bugs / Attack of clones
« on: June 11, 2012, 06:10:46 PM »

Today I've encountered really strange bug. My brand new Pegasus class ship called "Phoenix" became somehow a cloning machine. I don't know when o where but I think I shouldn't stick my gun in every ship... I mean boarding Pirate ships for loot and captives is highly addictive. Or maybe it was at Pirate base? I should be more cautious... :eeeee:

After bug with a big fleet I landed on Monroe base and then I went to Aeolus in Primeval 2. During voyage I was boarding, capturing and looting Pirates - business as usual. Then I started to Astra and Vortex Prime.

When I reached Vortex Prime my cargo hold was almost full but system was under Pirate control and their ships were full of cargo so I quickly became full (I was forced to jettison some cheaper cargo to hold valuable one; excluding drugs, I'm not doing drugs).

Before I reached Hooper's Hope flying on afterburner I've met 4 or 5 more pirates. Without free cargo space and especially without EMP Torpedoes I just destroyed them. All of them dropped pilots and some cargo so I decided to jettison cheap one (like "Iron") to scoop e.g. Slaves.

During scooping I set speed to 10 (sometimes more means kill/destroy) and course set for ejected pilot and cargo. When I reached pilot suddenly my ship stuck! It wasn't moving at all! Well, at least there was no progress because ship was "jumping for- and backward" all the time. At a bottom of a screen informations were displayed with every jump informing that "There is no sufficient space for ejected pilot and cargo" (I forgot do record it). After some time I've increased speed to 20 and pilot was killed. Without nearby opponents I've landed on base.

I've sold cargo, reequipped ship and decided to "clean board" by enslaving captives. After several enslavement I decided to drop equipment at storage room and my character stuck at "wall of clones". 23 NPCs. All equipped with Laser Rifle. All with different injuries (both for body part and degree). All named Maelle Dufour (see movie: [RS]). They were hostile but not aggressive - I was able to talk with but not able to switch position with them to reach storage room.

I recorded another movie with disabling. Boring like hell. Only one strange thing was that nobody attacked me. I mean "clones" were completely uncaring for fate of other "clones". Except I wasn't able to quit combat mode. Well, two or three of them was such "neutral" that at the and I was able to quit combat, attack, enslave and again quit combat while last two clones stood aside.

Really strange. Lucky for me it was profitable... :heh:
