Title: Retro: New 16-bit DOS version?
Post by: COVOXED on October 19, 2015, 07:21:35 PM
Since the last DOS version was from 2007, is there any hope for a new one? (Maybe without some of the features of full-blown 32bit version).News like that would probably make many people aware of that AS exists, I think. (That was how I found out about it). AS would be mandatory on old-school hardware I'm sure. :) AS ROX! This is my first post here.

I'm afraid not. Ascii Sector has evolved too much from the early DOS version to be able to go back to that.

I don't doubt there is an active retro-DOS community out there, but I do wonder how big it is.

I myself do love the retro. I grew up on DOS and Amiga, the latter of which has been taking up more of my time after a guy donated an Amiga to me (picked it up on Copenhagen)! YAY!

(Amiga version of AS to come?  :P)
