It certainly resembles Minecraft. Doesn't seem to be much to it. Not that I've played it, but it's obviously heavily influenced, even they went the voxel route. I'm a bit wary of programmers saying "nearly infinite", makes me wonder how much arithmetic they actually know.

Once I upgraded my Java I actually ceased to have some of the problems I had way back when I first tried it. My problems now are my imagination exceeding the game's capabilities.

I don't know.

However, I do know that minetest (http://minetest.net/) has gotten very far recently, and is way faster than minecraft, if anyone is experiencing problems, like VFP did back in 2011.

Been looking up mods... I'm not sure what I want to find. Something that lets you portal to worlds with random physics, maybe. Or a serious dungeon delve engine. Or cubes floating in space. I want it to do everything, apparently.

Now yogscast and Notch have a bit of a falling out it would seem:

Watching the interview they did, the thin guy on the left seems a bit weird, as he later in the video throws away the hat they gave to Notch.

Its been all over Reddit and the general nerd internet   :hehe:
The yogscast are pretty darn rude, I'll give them that, but this is making a mountain out of a molehill. To my knowledge, no one said they couldn't swear.

Unless notch is trolling us.

I've been watching some of the vids that are on the news page on the minecraft forum site from the minecon last weekend. I find it kind of nice to see how extremely uncomfortable and awkward Notch is on stage, and when doing the interviews. A true computer person :). I've watched the first part of the interview he did with yogscast, and that was awkward to say the least. They're all struggling to keep the conversation going and fails miserably about 9:59 in this video.

This was a bit fun, check out at about 02:05:

That's just the main YouTube page for the guys making the videos. I believe their first Minecraft video is this one:

Aren't those guys appearing in this new official Minecraft/Minecon trailer?

Haha. Yep, that's them. I imagine they're even more famous than Notch to most Minecraft players, so it makes sense to have them in the video.

To those like me with older hardware but are MC heads, I might have found something to help.

http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html

I came across this while perusing makeuseof.com, I ran it on my big laptop and it "boosted" by 42%. I will report back later on my findings using it and playing MC.

Have you tried to survive... with these rules: http://manvsminecraft.com/rules/season-1-rules/

Do I have to drink my own urine? :hehe: I have a pic for this...

But seriously, I just looked them over and it looks cool, might re-spark my interest in MC again, but its a BUNCH of rules...
